The Houston Rockets postseason run came to an end this week after they ran in to the Oklahoma City Thunder, but there is a lot of talent on the roster and they have the room to sign a big name free agent this offseason.

One of the team’s current stars, guard James Harden, plans to go in to full recruiting mode so that the Rockets can bring in some top talent for another run next year.

According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com:

"On his way out of the building, furthermore, Harden told ESPN.com that he intends to be an active member of the Rockets’ recruiting efforts this summer.“Hell, yeah,” Harden said. “There’s a lot of good options out there.”Asked specifically about the Lakers’ Howard, with the Rockets widely regarded as the team with the best shot of stealing him away from L.A., Harden broke into a smile and added: “Maybe. Possibly.”"

Howard would be an excellent fit with the Rockets and really add a dominant presence to the inside on both offense and defense, while Harden and Lin work their magic on the perimeter and on the scoreboard.

Los Angeles will do everything in their power to keep Howard with the Lakers, but the young center has said he will consider all options and the Rockets may just be the better option with more talent around him. If Harden is actively recruiting Howard and the big man wants to win, we could be seeing Dwight rocking the red uniforms next season.
