The Detroit Lions have become the first team to get all of their 2013 NFL Draft picks under contract. Early on Friday the team came to an agreement with second-round selection Darius Slay and now they have locked up their final selection. The team announced they have agreed to a contract with first-round pick Ezekiel Ansah, who was the No. 5 overall pick in the draft.

According to the team’s release, this is the earliest the Lions have agreed to a deal with a first-round pick since 2009 when they locked up Matthew Stafford before selecting him No. 1 overall.

Ansah should immediately compete for a starting position.

Outside of Ansah and Slay, the Lions rookie class included guard Larry Warford, defensive end Devin Taylor, punter Sam Martin, receiver Corey Fuller, running backTheo Riddick, tight end Michael Williams and linebacker Brandon Hepburn.

Rookie camp starts today, so all of the players are ready to get rolling and learn the ropes of the NFL.
