Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau was not afraid to voice his criticism towards the NBA referees following the team’s Game 3 loss to the Miami Heat. As a result of his ripping the officials, Thibodeau has been fined $35,000, the league announced in a press release on Sunday.

It really isn’t a surprise that the NBA decided to fine Thibodeau. Everyone saw it coming, they were just wondering how steep the fine would be.

Here is some of what Thibodeau had to say after the game:

"“From my angle, I just saw a guy basically flop, you know, and I’m going to leave it at that. When you play them, you have to have a lot of mental, physical and emotional toughness. And things aren’t going to go your way. That’s the way it is. We’re not going to get calls. That’s reality. We still have to find a way to get it done. And we can.”"

The Bulls and Heat will lock horns for Game 4 on Monday night.

We will have to see if Thibodeau’s comments got the attention of the refs and have the impact that he was hoping they would have.
