We are getting closer to the start of the 2013 college football season, which means preseason watch lists and the preseason All-American squads will begin to surface. On Thursday afternoon, the fine folks from Athlon Sports released their preseason All-American team.

It is never an easy task to sort through all of the talent and put together a squad that doesn’t feature any serious omissions, but Athlon has done an admirable job.

As you would expect, the All-American team is headlined on offense and defense by two players from the Southeastern Conference — Johnny Manziel and Jadeveon Clowney. But who else made the list? We’ve got you covered.
