Josh Brent was charged with intoxication manslaughter charges after driving while drunk and crashing. That crash resulted in a teammate, Jerry Brown, losing his life.

While out on bail and awaiting trial, Josh Brent tested positive for marijuana twice and had his bond revoked on June 27th.

According to the Dallas Morning News:

"Troubled Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Josh Brent is back out of jail less than two weeks after he returned to the county’s custody because of a failed drug test.Brent was officially released from Dallas County jail at 10:21 a.m., according to Dallas County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Carmen Castro."

The trial is already getting messy. Josh Brent’s lawyer, George Milner, filed for a gag order to prevent Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins from talking about the case publicly. The incident that led to this filing was an on-air radio interview, where Watkins basically said that Brent’s drug and alcohol use had led to another person’s death and that he “needs to go to prison.”

As of now, Brent is still on the Dallas Cowboys roster and will participate in training camp this offseason. I assume he’d have to get clearance to travel out of the county to participate. No word yet if he had been granted that clearance.
