The Detroit Lions are bringing in a group of veteran wide receivers for workouts this week according to Jason LaCanfora.

Laurent Robinson worked out for the New York Jets yesterday but left the Big Apple with out a deal. He is scheduled to work out for the Detroit Lions on Wednesday, after working out for the New England Patriots Tuesday.

The Detroits Lions had the 2nd passing offense in 2012 behind 307.9 yards passing per game. The majority of those yards came from Calvin Johnson, who broke a single season record for receiving behind 1,964 yards.

The next leading reciever for the Detroit Lions was tight end Brandon Pettigrew who caught 59 passes for 567 yards. A huge drop off.

Their third leading receiver was Tony Scheffler, another tight end, who caught 42 passes for 504 yards.

Their fourth leading receiver was Joique Bell, a running back. He caught 52 passes for 485 yards.

Wide receiver Titus Young was the fifth leading receiver for the Lions with 33 catches for 383 yards, followed by wide receiver Ryan Broyles who caught 22 passes for 310 yards.

The Lions are trying to find some targets for Stafford to give him some help, though Calvin Johnson might not want it. That could mean less receptions and less yards for someone who has their eyes set on 2,000 yards.
