Alright New York Giants, y’all are officially on notice.

Giants GM Jerry Reese did not mince words on Saturday when discussing his team’s performance over the last few years:

"All I know is that we’ve been in the playoffs one time in the last four years and that’s really not acceptable for us. That’s not our standards. That’s not what we shoot for. We want to put everybody on notice, myself, everybody is on notice that that’s not our standard (ESPN)."

Reese continued, talking about how the Super Bowl will be played at MetLife Stadium in a mere 190 days and about how he expects the Giants to be there:

"When you look at it and you see that number jump out at you, 190 days, that’s really not that far away. The sense of urgency really jumps out at me. We’re going to put up in the locker room a countdown just so guys can see how urgent it is to be ready to go every week. You can’t let games get away from you and expect to make it to the playoffs. We have to have a sense of urgency going into this season."

The New York Giants begin preseason play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on August 10th and open the regular season against the Dallas Cowboys on September 8th.
