The Buffalo Bills headed in to training camp splitting reps between free agent acquisition Kevin Kolb and rookie E.J. Manuel. While many agreed that Manuel had a lot of work to do and the veteran Kolb seemed like the favorite to earn the starting gig. Unfortunately for Kolb, the early impressions from camp are that he is struggling to make a positive impression.

Jay Skurski of the Buffalo News shared his thoughts on Kolb’s performance over the first three days of camp that included plenty of inaccurate passes.

According to Skurski, Kolb “looked at times like he was trying to complete passes to the water cooler on the sidelines.”

If Kolb continues to struggle, the team may be wise to just throw Manuel immediately in to the starting role.

Buffalo needs to hope for some sort of improvement at the quarterback position if they are going to avoid a miserable season, but reports for both quarterbacks have been less than ideal. Unfortunately for the Bills fans, that means they could be in for a long season.
