When video surfaced of Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper dropping a racist slur at a Kenny Chesney concert, the biggest question was immediately about how his teammates would respond. Michael Vick said that he was moving on and forgiving Cooper, but it won’t be that easy for everyone.

Running back LeSean McCoy is the perfect example.

Following Thursday’s practice, McCoy spoke about Cooper and said, “I can’t respect a guy like that,” according to Albert Breer of the NFL Network. McCoy went on to say that he wonders if Cooper’s “true colors” came out in the video.

This is obviously a big problem for the locker room environment.

If there are more players out there that lost all respect for Cooper because of his idiotic comments, then the offense could have a hard time gelling.

When you consider how big of a role the former Florida standout will be playing following the injury to Jeremy Maclin, the Eagles need to find a way to put this to rest immediately. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like that is going to be an easy task.
