Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert is emerging as one of the most dominant big men in the NBA, but he isn’t satisfied just yet. Instead of working out with the Pro-Am leagues all over the nation during the summer, Hibbert is making a trip to San Antonio to work with one of the best front court players in the history of the league.

Hibbert will be training with San Antonio Spurs star Tim Duncan and he posted a photo on his Twitter account to confirm the news.

Scott Agness of Pacers.com has more:

"Hibbert said in late July that the plan was to work out with Duncan “for a week or two, probably in August.” As expected, he went into Duncan’s training grounds in San Antonio on Monday for a workout with fellow bigs. How serious is Big Roy about soaking in all he could from Duncan, both on the court and in the weight room? Hibbert brought his strength coach, Mike Robertson, with him.Hibbert greatly respects Duncan’s game and the two are close friends. They text often throughout the season, with Hibbert trying to absorb as much as he can from the future Hall of Famer."

Many fans may not like to see their star player training with a player from a different team, but that is the way the sport is today.

One thing that Pacers fans should be happy about is that Hibbert is working out with a star from the Western Conference. Regardless, the fact that the players are training together will do nothing when they hit the court. The only thing it could do is ramp up the competition between the two when they face off.
