The Detroit Lions and the New England Patriots faced off in the regular season dress rehearsal, also known as week 3 of the preseason. Detroit Lions defensive end Willie Young was coming in to make a play on Tom Brady, who was in their own end zone, and at first it looks like he grabs his jersey to keep him from falling as he was about to lay him out.

Then after their momentum stops, he pulls Brady in close and points his finger right in his face and clearly says something. Brady throws his arms out the side and says something in return, it looks like it starts with a loud “whoa!”

Willie Young was flagged for taunting on the play and subsequently benched. If only the Lions played with this kind of intensity last season, they might have finished better than 4-12. It seems a little odd to get so worked up about trying to make a mockery of Brady in a meaningless preseason game.

Young wasn’t the only one. Jason Jones yelled at Brady, defensive lineman C.J. Mosley got in a push which received an unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty for pushing Brady after a turnover. Ndamukong Suh also got in a late shove.
