Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano believes that Darrius Heyward-Bey’s confidence is “skyrocketing” after a rough start to training camp.

Whenever I hear the name or see Darrius Heyward-Bey, I can’t help but think about the nasty hit he took against the Pittsburgh Steelers last season that knocked him out cold and gave him a concussion. I get chills whenever I watch it on YouTube. If you haven’t seen or it don’t remember it, look it up on YouTube. It’s pretty nasty.

Anyways, head coach Chuck Pagano seems to be praising Heyward-Bey’s consistency which has always been a problem for the wide receiver. This season is a contract year for Heyward-Bey as he signed a one year deal with the Indianapolis Colts that’s worth around $2.5 million.

This year isn’t really a “do or die” season for Heyward-Bey, if it doesn’t work out for him in Indy, he will have another chance with another team. For now he seems to be locked in as Andrew Luck’s starting Z receiver with Reggie Wayne at X and T.Y. Hilton in the slot.
