Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones in’t shy about expressing his confidence as both a shutdown corner, as a well as a breakaway return-man.

Jones, who’s already looking ahead to the team’s showdown on Sept. 8 vs the Chicago Bears that features the NFL’s two active leaders for scoring touchdown off punt returns in he and Bears receiver Devin Hester.

But if you ask Jones who he thinks is a better returner, it’s no question:

"“I’m the best,” Jones said Monday. “Why would I watch tape of somebody else?”“He’s not as shifty as I am. He may have a little more top-end speed than me,” Jones said. “I don’t know about the 40, but as far as the 100, he would definitely beat me"

If you look at the numbers, Hester has 12 punt return TDs in his seven previous seasons, and is currently the the NFL’s active leader. Jones is second in the NFL with five in his last six seasons.

Hester has 131 more returns than Jones, but I’d still go with him over the younger Jones.
