The Indianapolis Colts waived rookie safety John Boyett, who played his college ball at the University of Oregon last year. He was arrested early Monday morning and pulled a Reese Witherspoon.

From Indianapolis Star:

"A police report said Boyett — a safety listed as being on the reserve/non-football injury list — suffered slight new injuries to his arm and elbow when he fell while running from police officers after an incident shortly before 3 a.m.“You can’t arrest me, I’m a Colts player,” Boyett repeatedly told the officers. The report said Boyett later threatened an officer, saying “I am going to come back and break your jaw.”A Colts spokesman said the team is aware of the situation and won’t comment until it is done gathering facts."

Apparently the Colts don’t like their players to be “too intoxicated” and cussing “at patrons of the bar and people on the sidewalk.” Now Boyett can’t get drunk and name drop his employer while harassing random people or being wrestled down to the ground by four police officers.

He hadn’t even played a regular season game for the Colts.
