The New York Giants worked out running backs Leon Washington, Beanie Wells and Jonathan Dwyer on Tuesday. Giants running back Andre Brown has a fractured left leg and is expected to keep him out 4-6 weeks. Best case scenario that has him returning in week 3 and could put his health in jeopardy for the rest of the season as he’d likely be less than 100 percent.

The Giants instead elected to place Brown on the short-term IR which means he won’t return till week 10. That also leaves the Giants without a reliable #2 running back and they’re looking to free agency to fill the void. They have Ryan Torain, kickoff returner Da’Rel Scott behind David Wilson currently.
