The Denver Broncos might have to take on the Baltimore Ravens in the season opener without cornerback Champ Bailey. He is still trying to get back to 100 percent from a foot injury. ESPN Broncos blogger Jeff Legwold said on NFL Insiders that he would be “very surprised at this point” if Bailey played in the season opener.

ESPN’s Ed Werder is reporting that sources tell him Bailey feels the same way.

USA Today sports writer Lindsay Jones said that “Champ is probably going to be listed as limited ” She also said “he’s not doing much during individual drills” during yesterday’s practice.

“It’s my feet, so I have to make sure I’m making a smart decision,” Bailey told USA TODAY Sports a couple of days ago. “It just depends on how it feels. There is a fine line there – you don’t want to risk it getting worse, but I definitely don’t want to miss any games either.”
