Yes, two NFL kickers are currently engaged in some what of a “beef.” Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee started it when he said that Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski roots against the hometown Oakland Athletics. Janikowski supposedly wants the A’s to miss the playoffs so they will put sod over the baseball diamond to make it more of a football field.

Janikowski denies that claim and isn’t happy.

“I was pissed off,” Janikowski said Thursday, insisting Scobee is lying, and that he attends A’s games “all the time,” per the San Francisco Chronicle.

“Whatever he says just blows my mind,” Janikowski continued. “That didn’t happen. Hell no. I just want to let you know. … I kicked 14 years on it, it really doesn’t bother me.”

Scobee made the comments while practicing kicking at a baseball field to simulate field conditions.

Seriously the bigger part of this is that 2 kickers are arguing in the media. All that time on the sidelines must get kind of boring, they need something to liven things up for them.

I’m sure there is some truth. I can’t believe that Janikowski doesn’t like kicking on dirt, and he is happy when their season ends but he probably doesn’t root against them.
