The final tournament of the FedEx Cup and the end of the regular season of the PGA Tour is upon us this week as the top 30 players on tour head to East Lake Golf Club looking to wrap their season with style. Last week it was Jim Furyk who made headlines with a 59, but ultimately he stumbled down the stretch and Zach Johnson got the win in Chicago headed into this weekend’s ultimate showdown.

In our FantasyCPR group, the win went to Lee Carvallo’s Fantasy Golf who moved into third place for the segment with a 115. Many entries struggled with six of the top eight posting their lowest score of the segment. Above Par remains in first place for the summer segment with Foot-Wedge just behind while maintaining his overall lead. Make sure to get your picks locked in before things tee off Thursday and finish the season strong.

Here are my picks for the week

A-List

Tiger Woods- If you have any Woods starts left, get him in your lineup. He enters this week atop the FedEx Cup standings after a t11 last week, and has a solid record on this course. He won in 2007 and since then has finished runner-up three times and had a top ten (t8) last year as well.

Brandt Snedeker- Sneds won his FedEx Cup last year at this event and looked good last week finishing eighth after a hot start. He’s the first defending champ to make it to the final tournament, and I think he’s got a shot to win again if he can strike the ball as well as he did early on at Conway Farms last week.

B-List

Hunter Mahan- My final Hunter start will be put to good use this week as he looks to get his first win of the season coming off top-25’s in the first three playoff events . He finished t4 last week and has a nice track record at this event including a runner-up finish two years ago

Matt Kuchar-Kuchar had a bad final round in Chicago last week but is always a solid pick since he always seems to be around the leaderboard. I have one start for Kuch left too, and I’m using it this week.

Steve Stricker- Stricker has had a great year in limited action with six straight top 15’s and a pair of top 5’s in his last two events in Boston and Chicago. He finished t4 last week and is in good form, so he’s a solid pick despite a so-so history here at this event.

Luke Donald- Donald has an amazing history here with three straight top three finishes. He finished runner-up in 2010 and has a pair of t3’s in his last two trips to East Lake. He is coming off a t4 in the BMW.

C-List

Jason Day- Day has seven top ten finishes on tour this season and three top 15’s in his last four events. He is coming off a t4 last week in Chicago and finished t6 in his last TOUR Championship two years ago.

Adam Scott- Scott has five top 30’s in his last six events including three top five finishes. He won at East Lake in 2006 but hasn’t had great showings here recently. He’s been inconsistent since winning the Barclays but has some nice rounds. He just needs to put them together for a solid week to finish holding the Cup.
