The Indianapolis Colts pulled off an incredible mid-season trade by acquiring Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson for a first round draft pick, straight up. The move gives the Colts the two of the top 3 draft picks in the 2012 NFL Draft.

There has been a lot of question about whether Trent Richadrson can learn enough of the Colts offense to play this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers and head coach Chuck Pagano sounded confident saying he’d be ready to go.

From Pro Football Talk:

"“We did not bring him in here to be the water boy on Sunday,” he said. “He’ll be ready to roll.”Pagano said he saw a lot of Richardson’s college career at Alabama and was always very impressed with what Richardson could do.“We know what he brings to the table as a runner, as a pass catcher as a protector so we feel, obviously, very excited,” Pagano said."

Fantasy owners who have Trent Richardson on their rosters have to be ecstatic that he is joining the Colts, that surely will have to help his status in fantasy leagues. The Colts are a winning team with a strong offense and a franchise quarterback in Andrew Luck. Richardson could be the missing piece.
