Former New York Jets running back Joe McKnight supposedly has a warrant out for his arrest, according to the New York Daily News.

The free agent running back was selected by the Jets in the 4th round in the 2010 NFL Draft at the number 112 overall slot. In his short career with the Jets, he only rushed for 502 rushing yards with zero touchdowns on a 4.5 yard per carry average and had 117 career receiving yards on 17 receptions.

Now back in August he was reportedly supposed to have a try out with the Green Bay Packers who were looking to add depth at the running back position. McKnight was listed as a return specialist for the Jets but since Cobb currently holds that role down in Green Bay, his only option would have been backing up Eddie Lacy and James Starks.

He also worked out for the New York Giants last week but they decided to sign Brandon Jacobs instead.

The warrant that was issued for his arrest is related to outstanding traffic charges and failed to appear in court on Monday. This is something that could have been avoided if the man had any common sense.

I’m sure teams will definitely take the risk on signing him after this little issue.
