Remember when Sebastian De La Cruz sang the national anthem during the NBA Finals and racism poured out on Twitter? How about with the Indian American Miss America that caused people to forget geography and instantly began throwing out the term “terrorist”?

Well, with the NFL celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, Cuban-American Paola Guanche sang the national anthem at Heinz Field.

While there were not nearly as many people criticizing the choice of Guanche singing the anthem — likely because there was no mariachi outfit involved — there was still plenty of ignorance shown on Twitter as people shared their thoughts on the Hispanic Heritage celebration.

It is rough to see people sharing these kind of comments in the public, but that’s what you get when anyone is allowed to spew their thoughts for everyone to see.
