St. Louis Rams running back Daryl Richardson played just two snaps on Sunday in the team’s Week 3 match up against the Dallas Cowboys, but he is expected to suit up and take the field for the Rams Thursday night outing against the division rival San Francisco 49ers.

Richardson was a limited participant in the St. Louis practice on Monday, but he does not expect to miss the game despite a short work week.

“It’s a little [frustrating] but you have got to just keep praying and treating it because when it’s time to go, you’ve got to be ready to go,” Richardson said, via ESPN.com. “I’m good to go for Thursday.”

Richardson has rushed for just 98 yards on 30 carries this season, but he has added ten receptions for 78 yards.

Having their running back return to the field will help the Rams have a more well-rounded attack on Thursday night against San Francisco, which is a team who’s number they had last season.

The Rams tied the 49ers in their first game of 2012, before edging San Francisco in their second match up.

St. Louis will hope to match their success from just a year ago.
