LC Greenwood, former Steelers DE, dies at age 67

The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently facing off against the Minnesota Vikings in London as they fight to earn their first win of the regular season, but stateside an important member of the team’s family has passed away. According to reports, legendary Steelers defensive end L.C. Greenwood has passed away due to what is being considered natural cause.

Greenwood was with the team from 1969 to 1981, where he became a dominant force as a member of the “Steel Curtain” defense and a member of the NFL’s A’ll-Decade team in the 70’s.

There is no additional information on Greenwood’s death at the current time, but we will continue to update you with the info as it becomes available.

In the meantime, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to Greenwood’s family and friends as they deal with this difficult time.
