After taking a trip to Germany to undergo Orthokine, a platelet-rich plasma treatment, on his right knee, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant has returned to the team.

According to Bryant, the process went “great” and he feels “good.”

The 35-year old Bryant ruptured his Achilles last season in an April 10 contest against the Golden State Warriors and has been out since.  Without Bryant, the Lakers were swept out of the first round of the playoffs by the eventual western conference champion San Antonio Spurs. They then lost all star center Dwight Howard to the Houston Rockets in free agency.

Clearly, getting Bryant back could raise morale among the fans and the organization.

“Overall, I feel good,” Bryant told Ramona Shelburne of ESPN Los Angeles. “Obviously, I feel like I’m ahead of schedule. It’s just about trying to get that range of motion back where I feel like I can run comfortably. The last stage is really the explosiveness and the muscle endurance.”

The future Hall-of-Famer had another fantastic year last season. He averaged 27.3 points, 6.0 assists and 5.6 rebounds per game.
