C.J. Spiller didn’t practice Wednesday
By Mike Dyce
Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller has been dealing with an ankle injury. In last Sunday’s overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Spiller carried the ball 10 times for 55 yards and had two catches for 11 yards. He split carries with Fred Jackson who also carried the ball 10 times for 35 yards and had 4 receptions for 13 yards.
Last week, Spiller says he wasn’t at 100 percent health, and he said he is still not at 100 percent. ESPN is reporting that Spiller “was in uniform for the start of the practice, did not participate. ”
“I definitely wasn’t 100 percent last week,” Spiller said Wednesday, via ESPN. “I still feel like I’m not exploding.”
He didn’t perform poorly in the game, but he played below his standards. The fact that he feels like he isn’t exploding makes is incredible given his 5.5 yard per carry average.
