When you have the reputation of being a primadonna and a me-first player, there are some things that you just don’t do. Unfortunately for Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard, you has yet to grasp that concept as he continues to make himself look bad in the public eye.

The recent comments came when Howard was discussing the decision of his former team, the Orlando Magic, to allow Tobias Harris to wear the No. 12 jersey that Howard once owned.

Howard was upset that the team gave someone else his jersey number after all that he feels he accomplished. Sorry Dwight, but you moved on and so did they.

From Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel:

"Howard said he was disappointed that, last February, after the Magic acquired Tobias Harris in a trade, the team granted Harris’ request to wear No. 12, Howard’s old number."

"“I just think that despite whatever happened, there was a lot of things that I did and that we did as a team, and that number was special down there,” Howard said. “And I was a little bit upset about that.”"

It’s time to get over it, Dwight.

You did what you did and went on to have an underwhelming season with the Los Angeles Lakers, so it is only fair for the Magic to do whatever they please. If you really wanted to be a legend that was worthy of having your jersey number retired, perhaps you should have stayed in town.
