Adrian Peterson was held out of yesterday’s practice as the Minnesota Vikings are getting set to take on the win-less New York Giants.

On top of being held out, Peterson was listed as probable for Monday nights game. Today he was able to practice but he was limited to what he was able to do. He’s still listed as probable for Week 7’s game, but there’s not reason why he shouldn’t be able to play against the Giants.

Peterson is currently chasing the record he nearly shattered last season. I believe he fell around eight or nine yards short of the single season rushing record, but it’s not too late to break it this season. I mean he would really have to dig deep down, but it’s Adrian Peterson we’re talking about.

This man can turn a play that looks as if it will result in negative yardage and turn it into a run that results in six points. With Freeman stepping up as Minnesota’s starting quarterback for the first time in his career, Peterson should have a lot of work to do on Monday.

Minnesota Vikings left tackle Matt Kalil is listed as questionable. He’s dealing with a back problem and hasn’t practiced all week. I wouldn’t be surprised if he sits this one out, but the team will see how he feels once he goes through pre-game warm ups.
