Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing has once again suffered a very ugly injury. After suffering a lower leg injury in the third quarter of the team’s Week 7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Cushing was carted to the locker room for additional medical attention.

Cushing was hit in the leg and his knee immediately bent in the wrong direction, before he crumbled to the turf in obvious pain.

It was just a year ago that Cushing suffered a torn ACL, so there was immediately concern when he went down with yet another leg injury.

Cushing was unavailable to the media after the game and was spotted on crutches and wearing a big knee brace, and team owner Bob McNair had some unfortunate news for those who were awaiting an update.

From Jeff Darlington of the NFL Network:

An MRI tomorrow will determine the severity of Cushing’s injury, but it doesn’t look good.

Cushing will be reevaluated on Monday, but it appears that the team is preparing to hear the news that he will be lost for the season.
