It looks like the Cincinnati Bengals have gotten the  official word that cornerback Leon Hall does have a torn Achillles and is out for the remainder of the season:

Hall underwent an MRI today, but both he and the Bengals were confident he tore the Achilles at halftime of yesterday’s game vs the Detroit Lions. Hall was covering Pro Bowl wide receiver Calvin Johnson in the end zone early in the game, leaped up, and tipped it away, and immediately grabbed his right foot. He buried his face in the turf and went to the bench visibly upset before he was carted off.

Hall tore his other Achilles in 2011, so it’s unfortunately an all-too-familiar feeling for Hall. The team is still deciding on what they will do with the open roster spot.
