Tonight on Monday Night Football, the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants. The Vikings come into the game with a 1-4 record and the Giants are still looking for their first win. The game certainly isn’t the most ideal or marquee match up you could hope for. It should still be entertaining. The Vikings went to the playoffs last year and the New York Giants won the Super Bowl a couple of seasons ago.

Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is active for the game. He missed practice on Friday and Saturday with an illness and his status was in doubt. For the Vikings, left tackle Matt Kalil will be active after missing Friday and Saturday’s practices with a back injury. The interesting, or fun fact, those two players will spend a lot of time going up against one another head to head.

The Vikings will start Josh Freeman at quarterback tonight. Matt Cassel is inactive, which means Christian Ponder will be Freeman’s back up tonight.
