The Seattle Seahawks made no moves before the NFL trade deadline, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any news to report about the team. According to reports, starting wide receiver Sidney Rice will miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a torn ACL.

Pro Football Talk first reported the news.

Losing Rice will hurt the Seahawks receiving corp, but the good news is that Percy Harvin is expected to return in the very near future.

Harvin’s injured hip did flare up last week, but he is still close to a return.

As for who the Seahawks could add at wide receiver, they likely knew about Rice’s injury before the trade deadline, so they would have gone out and made a trade if they really were worried about the situation.

Instead, they will look in house to replace Rice or perhaps find a way to go out in the free agent pool to pick up a trusty veteran.
