Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller’s struggles have left the Bills offense struggling to generate points, and that’s been the biggest thing holding them back from having a better record this year.  The team has also struggled to get Spiller the ball in space, and he just hasn’t looked like the same player. A nagging ankle has also hindered Spiller while limiting his touches to just 10-15 per game over the past few week.s

Bills Head Coach Marrone held Spiller out last week against the New Orleans Saints, and he’s calling him day to day for this week as they prepare for the Kansas City Chiefs:

"“I’m probably going to still go day to day and then take a peek (Thursday),” said Marrone. “I’m not ready to really stand on the table one way or the other.”“It is a four to six week injury and it was only just that one week (I rested),” said Spiller. “And that’s four to six weeks if you’re not playing. I’ve been playing on it for four weeks. Having Sunday off just gave it more rest time and gave me more days to let it heal properly and hopefully quicker. Who knows how it’s going to feel?”"
