Chicago Bears’ backup quarterback Josh McCown has put forth a solid effort in relief of the injured Jay Cutler against Green Bay tonight.

After three quarters of play, McCown is 19-of-33 for 244 yards and two touchdowns.  His latest at the end of the third to wide receiver Alshon Jeffery was on a 6-yard strike and a nifty grab.

McCown threw another touchdown pass in the first quarter – a 23 yarder to Brandon Marshall.  Jeffery has 5 receptions for 60 yards and Marshall has 6 receptions for 96.

So far, this Monday Night Football game between the two long-time rivals has been a back and forth affair with 4 lead changes.

With Aaron Rodgers out for the game with a left shoulder injury, Green Bay has turned to the run while backup quarterback Seneca Wallace attempts to manage the offense.  Eddie Lacy has been the star of the game on the ground with 19 carries for 144 yards and a touchdown.

Wallace has gone 9 of 17 for 94 yards and an interception, which he threw on just his second pass attempt of the game to Bears defensive end Julius Peppers.

The Packers sit at 5-2 on the season while the Bears are at 4-3 and attempting to avoid going to .500 at the midway point of the season.
