There are reports that Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito is going to be cut in the fallout of the bullying and harassment accusations. The Dolphins heard voicemails from Incognito to Jonathan Martin and have suspended him indefinitely.

“The Miami Dolphins have suspended Richie Incognito for conduct detrimental to the team,” a statement from the team released Sunday night read. “We believe in maintaining a culture of respect for one another and as a result we believe this decision is in the best interest of the organization at this time. As we noted earlier, we reached out to the NFL to conduct an objective and thorough review. We will continue to work with the league on this matter.”

Earlier today, transcripts of a voicemail he left Jonathan Martin were made public by Adam Schefter. They include racial slurs and threats of violence. So the Miami Herald’s Salguero reported that the Dolphins are done with Incognito.

“He’s done,” a ranking club source told the Miami Hearld‘s Armando Salguero. “There are procedures in place and everyone wants to be fair. The NFL is involved. But from a club perspective he’ll never play another game here.”

So Tom Pelissero jokingly reached out to a personnel guy with an NFL team other than the Dolphins to see if he’d be claimed off waivers and he had an an interesting response: “I think he can file his retirement papers.”
