The San Diego Chargers may be without their most consistent wide receiver this Sunday after Eddie Royal sat out a third straight practice Friday, leaving his status in question for this weekend’s game against the AFC West rival Denver Broncos. Royal leads the team with seven receiving touchdowns, but has been dealing with a nagging toe injury but has yet to miss a game this season. The team has termed him questionable to face the Broncos.

"“You just want to be out there,” he said. “Missing practice — guys are competing out there, and you can’t help them out or compete. I just miss that thrill of competition. You just want to be out there with your teammates.”"

It may be Keenan Allen or Vincent Brown who put up big numbers this week against a Broncos secondary that has struggled for much of the season, but having Royal healthy and active will be key for the Chargers if they hope to outscore Peyton Manning and the rest of the Broncos loaded offense.
