The New Orleans Saints dismantled the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. For Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, it was a chance to get some revenge on a team that fired him and made him the scapegoat following a mediocre 8-8 season. Ryan’s defense held the Cowboys offense to under 200 yards of offense en route to a blow out win.

After the game, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones expressed some regret in firing Ryan.

“We thought that it was best for us to go in the direction that we are, and that doesn’t look good right now,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “Hopefully we can make it look good, but I have all the feelings that you have anytime you want to look back at a decision, and I realize when some of them work you have to have a few things go along with it, and candidly we’re having some of the same things that Rob had last year. He had a lot of people, frankly, to be fair to Rob, he lost a lot of guys on defense.”

Ryan on the other hand spent the night after the game drinking beer and partying with fans.
