Mavericks at Heat: LeBron James three-pointer gives Miami the edge (GIF)

Boy, sometimes it’s funny to think back to the time where the jump shot of Lebron James was criticized, but remember, there was a time when that was the case. But as with any great athlete, through hard work and maturity, James has become one of the deadliest shooters in the game today.

Tonight, he’ll need to be on point with that shot as his Heat squad look to move to 6-3 on the season against the visiting Dallas Mavericks at home.

In the third quarter, he was alright in that department.

With the game tied at 72 apiece, LeBron had the ball behind the three-point line with Shawn Marion right in front of him. Well, Marion decided to challenge James to take the shot, which he did.

Well, the result was not what Marion had hoped for:

With this one looking like it’s going to be a back-and-forth affair the rest of the way, I’m not sure giving James a clean look like that is the best course of action here in the second half.
