(Yeah, that title would’ve been marginally better had the Nets not moved to Brooklyn.)

According to SB Nation’s Blazer’s Edge, the Portland Trail Blazers may be overhauling their jerseys within the next couple of seasons.

The team’s statement:

"As we embark onto a new season, we’re also entering a new era of Portland Trail Blazers basketball. As you may be aware, the Portland Trail Blazers have utilized the same home and away uniforms since the 2002-03 season and we think it may be time to take a fresh look at our team design elements that could possibly take effect for the 2015-16 season. Ultimately, we may decide, based on your feedback, that no change is necessary, but we want to explore the possibility and would like to get your feedback and comments. This is a decision we don’t take lightly and very much want to reflect the opinions of our fans in whatever the final product is."

The BE post has a link to the survey distributed by the team, which you can take online here. The first few parts are a bit dull, true, but then you arrive at the fun “which words would you use to describe the Portland Trail Blazers?” section. Possible options, obviously made by someone with a degree in Buzz Words for Business and Profit, include…

  • Masculine
  • Technical
  • Daring
  • Upper-class
  • Leader
  • Hard-working
  • Wholesome

“Career-ending knee injuries” was (unfortunately) not an option. Too bad.
