Well the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions are currently tied at the top of the NFC North once again as Detroit fell to the Steelers and Chicago was able to knock off the champs.

Now coming off Sunday’s loss, the Lions are focused on shaking it off and focusing on what they did wrong on both sides of the ball. This team can’t keep putting itself on the backs of both Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson, so something has to give.

Johnson and Stafford both connected six times for 179 yards and two touchdowns. These two are proving to be one of the best wide receiver/quarterback duos in the history of the sport. I mean they’re still young and have a lot of competition ahead of them on that list, but it’s very possible.

Johnson (knee), Glover Quin (ankle) and Joique Bell (foot) were all three out during today’s practice. Johnson of course is getting an extra day of rest after having a monster game against the Steelers, while Quin was seen in a walking boot.

Quin fell late against the Steelers and didn’t return to the game. He could miss Sunday’s game, which will be a huge concern for Detroit’s passing defense. If that wasn’t bad enough, running back Joique Bell told a member of the medical staff that he felt some sort of pop in his foot.

He was filling in for Reggie Bush who was benched. Right now he’s listed as questionable, but it looks like the team is going to have to continue to rely on Stafford’s arm to get them some much needed victories if they want to win this division.
