Houston Texans Head Coach Gary Kubiak probably would have been better off calling-in sick Sunday based on a number of highly questionable decision he made. His oddest decision was to bench Case Keenum in favor of Matt Schaub. Keenum—who replaced Matt Schaub in Week 7—was benched for Schaub in the third quarter of Houston’s loss. And it’s not like Keenum was doing that bad, but Schaub clearly wasn’t any more effective, as has been the case the entire season. Schaub has thrown 8 TDs and 9 INTs compared to Keenum’s 8 TDs and 1 INT.

Schaub admitted Wednesday he probably won’t be a Texan beyond the end of this season, but is only concerned about finishing this season strong:

"“We take each week one at a time,” said Schaub. “With the length of the season – (it’s) a marathon and grind – you’ve got to focus on the next thing in front of you. If you’re thinking about what’s down the road, you’re going to miss something. It’s been very hard, no question. You’re sitting here 2-8. It’s not something any of us anticipated. Our standards and expectations are much higher.”"
