Sunday afternoon, the 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs will look to rebound after suffering their first loss of the season this past weekend when they welcome in the 4-6 San Diego Chargers into Arrowhead.

It was a bit of a wake-up call for first-year head coach Andy Reid, QB Alex Smith and the rest of the Chiefs when they were defeated by another AFC West foe, the Denver Broncos, on Sunday Night Football. The 10-point loss wasn’t entirely indicative of how the game went, as the Chiefs absolutely showed the makings of a legitimate contender in the NFL landscape, something that some had doubted.

While the chances of the Chargers making a run at the AFC West are virtually impossible with the way Denver and Kansas City are playing, they could still use a win here for confidence. They’ve lost three straight, although all three were by a close margin. This isn’t a bad team by any stretch, but they just can’t seem to figure out their way around some crucial situations.

Date: Nov. 24

Start Time: 1pm ET

Location: Kansas City, MO

Stadium: Arrowhead Stadium

TV Info: CBS

Odds: Chiefs -5

Prediction: Even in defeat, this Kansas City team did indeed show signs of being a legitimate contender. Under a coach like Reid, a second loss in a row isn’t something that I see happening, especially with the inconsistencies of the Chargers.

Chiefs 28, Chargers 24
