Now I’ve been covering this topic this morning as talks between the Cardinals and Angels have gone back and forth.

First it started off with the two starting things off (click here) then Peter Bourjos’s name (click here) was thrown into the trade mix.

If a deal happens to go through, it would be another blockbuster trade but may not be as big as the one Detroit and Texas pulled off. It will make some waves because almost everybody thought Freese was finally St. Louis’s solution at third base.

It’s no secret that the St. Louis Cardinals need a shortstop and they could ask for Erick Aybar but I highly doubt they’ll get him in return. I honestly believe if a trade goes down, a prospect along with Trumbo will be somehow involved.

Right now it’s a big no when it comes to trading straight up for Peter Bourjos.

I’m not sure if the Cardinals are going to be willing to part ways with Freese without receiving a convincing package. Los Angeles is going to have to show this organization that they mean serious business.

I doubt a package will include pitchers considering the group of young talent they already have on their active roster and farm system.

I’m almost positive this won’t be the last article I post on this subject during my shift. This is starting to get interesting and that’s coming from a Chicago Cubs fan.

I’ll keep you posted Cardinals/Angels fans.
