Second year wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is having himself a pro bowl and career year.

In his rookie season, Jeffery started off great but broke his hand against the Jacksonville Jaguars then was hit with a leg injury after returning. Today against the Minnesota Vikings, Jeffery is very close to breaking 200 yards receiving.

Both Jeffery and Brandon Marshall are close to picking up 1,000 receiving yards on the year. This is something Marshall is very familiar with, but for the second year receiver it has to be very exciting. Before these two were picked up by this team, something like this never happened.

Marty Booker was Chicago’s last 1,000 yard receiver before they traded for Marshall.

Starting quarterback Josh McCown has been hitting his targets and doing fairly well with Jay Cutler still sitting on the sidelines. This is a huge game for this team as they need to stay stride for stride with the Detroit Lions.

McCown and the Bears opened up the second half with the ball. McCown found the 6’3 216 pound wide receiver over his shoulder on a vertical route which resulted in a huge 80 yard score.

Jeffery has eight receptions for 169 yards and it’s only the third quarter.
