After yesterday’s AFC West match up between the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, it was reported that a man was found dead in the parking lot outside of the stadium. Initial reports suggested that the incident may have been a fan dispute, but the updated information states otherwise.

According to Kansas City Police Chief Daryle Forte, reports of a parking lot fight were inaccurate:

The Kansas City Police Department Safety Officer echoed the comments by Chief Forte.

“I know it had nothing to do with the actual game itself.  Everything happened out here in the parking lot,” KCPD Public Safety Officer Darin Snapp told FOX 4.  “The hospital has told us that there were no obvious signs of how the person passed away so, we don’t know. The witnesses say that there were no guns or anything.”

There were also reports that two arrests were made in relation to the incident, but it appears that the “arrests” were a total of three people being taken to police headquarters for questioning.

This is still a fluid situation, so we will update you with more information as it becomes available.
