Thursday night was a lighter NBA schedule with just three games on the schedule, but all three were decent showcase matchups for the Association although they didn’t turn out to be close games. Here’s the players that made their fantasy owners most happy last night with big nights on the hardwood:
Anthony only took 12 shots which is a bit uncharacteristic for him, but he finished with a nicely balances line of 19 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and a block while helping the Knicks snap their losing streak at the hands of their crosstown rivals.
Boozer led the Bulls with 27 points as they took down the Heat in Chicago. He added nine rebounds and an assist while making 10 of the 17 shots he attempted.
Lopez and Joe Johnson were the only Nets to even get double figures as the Nets continued to disintegrate. Lopez let the team with 24 points and nine boards while adding an assists, a block, and a steal.
Noah and his teammate Boozer dominated the Heat down low all night long. While Noah didn’t match Boozer’s scoring output finishing with 17 points, he did contribute more peripherals finishing with 15 rebounds, three assists, and a steal in his 33 minutes. The Bulls had a huge advantage on the boards out-rebounding Miami 49-27.
It was a normal night for Lebron (by his lofty standards) as the Heat fell to the Bulls in Chicago. James led the team with 21 points and added five rebounds, three steals, and two assists. Lebron’s numbers were a little bit down, but the main reason the Heat lost was their inability to rebound and defend down low and the absence of Dwyane Wade.
Jordan and the Clippers ran out to such a big lead that many of the starters played limited minutes against Memphis. Jordan finished with 14 rebounds to go with his 10 points along with three blocks, two steals, and two assists.
Koufos is our sleeper pick of the night turning in a team-high 17 points to go with nine rebounds and two steals. Koufos has been playing big minutes since Marc Gasol’s knee injury and will continue to produce typical big-man stats while he gets this much playing time.
