Kobe Bryant looked good in his second game back from missing eight months with a torn Achilles. He scored an efficient 20 points, and he even threw down a dunk. After his first game, Kobe gave himself a “D” for his performance, but after Tuesday night, he was feeling a lot better.

“I felt fine, I felt good, I felt really comfortable in terms of where to operate from,” Bryant said after the game via Lakers Nation, “It’s a process, to continue to figure out what you can and can’t do. Every game you try and step out, and do a little bit more, and just go from there.” Bryant will need to rely on his crafty footwork and jumpshot coming off of his injury, and he seems to be doing so.

When it comes to the Lakers, they will simply need more time to get acquainted with Bryant, and this next week or two to get there chemistry going. This will be their preseason and training camp, so don’t expect a lot of wins. Kobe will need to play in the flow of the offense, and his teammates will need to adjust their roles now that he’s back. I have no doubt that Kobe will be a similar player to the one he was last season, so they will be good, but they need to improve defensively if they want to win.
