Clippers at Wizards final score: Los Angeles rolls 113-97
Chris Paul was unbelievable, scoring 38 points on 11-of-14 shooting, dishing out 12 assists, grabbing three rebounds and recording three steals as the Los Angeles Clippers rolled to a 113-97 victory over the Washington Wizards Saturday night.
All five Clippers starters; Paul, Jamal Crawford (17), Blake Griffin (16), Jared Dudley (16) and DeAndre Jordan (15) scored in double figures.
John Wall had 24 points and 12 assists to lead the Wizards.
The win helped the Clippers end their east coast road trip on a high note, going 4-3.
Paul’s efficiency is what really did the Wizards in. It only took him 14 shots to get his 38 points because he went five-of-seven from beyond the arc and hit all 11 of free throws.
In fact, the entire team was efficient. The Clippers shot 39-of-69 from the field, hit nine three-pointers and went 26-of-31 from the free throw line. The Clippers posted an effective field percentage of 63.0%. On the other hand, the Wizards hit just three of their 14 three-point attempts and went 14-of-20 from the charity stripe.
The win improved the Clippers to 16-9 while the Wizards fell to 9-13.
