The uncertainty surrounding the status of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo for the team’s regular season finale is still up in the air, even after head coach Jason Garrett spoke with the media.

Romo is dealing with a back injury that is expected to require surgery and end his season, but the team says that he will remain day-to-day and is not officially ruled out for the season yet.

From Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network:

The Cowboys are likely just trying to keep the Philadelphia Eagles on their toes for Sunday’s match up as they guess who will be the team’s starting quarterback, because it is highly unlikely that Romo will be able to fight through the pain.
