Bears’ Jay Cutler new deal worth $18 million a year in first three
By Mike Dyce
The Chicago Bears and quarterback Jay Cutler have agreed to a new seven-year deal through 2020. According to Chicago Tribune’s Brad Briggs a deal has been signed.
It is interesting cause their was some expectations that they would let him go and keep Josh McCown. What might be more surprising is the per-year tag. According to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports, Cutler’s deal averages $18 million per year for the first three years of the contract.
That is a lot of money for someone who wasn’t a lock to get his job back when he returned from injury.
