The Tennessee Titans finished another miserable season by falling well short of the playoffs yet again. This caused a lot of doubt when it came to the future of head coach Mike Munchak but the Titans said after the season ended that they wouldn’t rush a decision.

Almost a week after Black Monday, the Titans still haven’t fired Munchak which is proving that the decision is indeed a difficult one for the Titans to wrestle with. But according to beat writer Jim Wyatt, the Titans may have come to a decision on Friday and it’s one that fans might not be too keen on.

According to Wyatt, the Titans are planning on retaining Munchak and brining him back for one more season.

The Titans have showed only minor improvement under Munchak, but he’s been with the organization dating back to their Houston Oilers years and his own playing days. That’s not a good reason to keep him around if the team is losing, but Tennessee obviously sees a reason in keeping him.

Things are changing in Tennessee and the Titans are trying to jump start a new era in the franchise’s history. Munchak appears to be a part of that, and fans are trying to decide if that’s for better or for worse.
